A Love Letter to Our Community

To those whose hearts are tired, whose dreams feel fragile, this is for you. This past month has been heavy—a week filled with words and whispers that once again invite fear and uncertainty, pushing us to feel like we’re walking on thin, shaking ground. We are here, feeling like we're one step closer to watching dreams slip through our fingers, dreams we've held close and fought for with everything we have. This is something no one should endure, a feeling I truly wouldn’t wish on anyone.

It’s a time to grieve, to feel the weight of it all, to sit with the ache and the anger. It’s a time to process and plan in silence, with no need to explain our right to be here, to exist fully, to love fiercely, to keep dreaming. We don’t owe the world another explanation. The numbers, the impact—the ways we lift this country every day—those are out there for anyone to search for and see. We are here to honor what lives in our hearts: the fear, the strength, the determination that’s never been easy to measure but is undeniable in its power.

If you’re feeling like you have to prove your worth, let that weight fall away. In times like these, remember that rest is a form of resistance. Know that you are already more than enough. You are brilliant, you are powerful, you are strong beyond measure. You are worthy of happiness, of stability, of love and care, the kind that cradles you softly. You deserve that, and you deserve a future built on dreams that are yours, dreams that no one has the right to take away from you.

You are allowed to rest at this moment. You are allowed to take a breath, to pause, to remember that you are not alone. When fear presses in on us, let us hold each other’s hands and be present. Let’s sit together in the quiet, listening to the whispers of the wind, letting the sound of loved ones’ voices become our music.

And when you're ready to rise, know that our community will stand right beside you, ready to face the uncertainty together. We will have each other’s backs, lifting one another when the ground feels unsteady. Together, we will continue to fight for the rights of all immigrants, for the dreams we’ve nurtured, and for the future we all deserve. You are not alone in this fight—we are here, and we will keep moving forward, side by side.
